Saturday Morning

Yesterday was just a bunch of the usual, but with some bright spots. Some of my new coworkers seem to be cool people, and my job in general seems to be improving of late. Today I'll be alone for most of the day, which is cool with me, as I've never been one to need or crave the close attention of management. Sounds like everything is going to be alright.

Too bad about the Death of Luther Vandross, but it wasn't at all unexpected after his known health troubles. My wife was really into to him.

The retirement of Justice O'Connor is fascinating. All I've heard as to her motive is that she feels that she's too old and wants to spend time with the family. There's too much at stake politically, for both her and the nation, for those to be the only reasons. I expect to here ore about this in the upcoming months. Expect a fight on capital hill as the administration pushes for an arch-conservative to plug the leak of this semi-reliable, conservative swing vote from the bench. That much is obvious.

Anyway, I've got to go to work now. I'll post again tonight.
